Making art brings immediate inner strength and unbelieveable peace of mind. Painting is my therapy for good mental health. I cannot limit myself to one style or design. I paint what inspires me and I paint for the love of it.

About the artist

Marilyn painted for the first time with a local art club in 1981. At first it was a winter hobby as farming and raising children were the first priority. In 2008, Marilyn retired and started painting full time. She paints in her home studio, mainly from photographs taken in Morden, around southern Manitoba and on her many travels to western Canada. She is currently working on a series depicting Morden Mansions. The first six are on display at the Pembina Hills Arts Centre in Morden, Manitoba. The famous Clock Tower painting is available in limited editon prints, signed and numbered by the artist. Marilyn has participated in many group and solo shows.Some of her paintings are available as greeting cards at the Pembina Hills Art Centre. Marilyn's work can be seen and purchased at the Pembina Hills Arts Centre.
