About the performer
Sara has been singing since she was a little girl. Back in 1979 she sang for a radio telethon then she took time out to raise her children. She's been performing again for about 10 years, singing at fundraisers such as the last three Epilepsy awareness events (Out Of The Shadows), at schools, churches, weddings, Care Homes, and Festivals. In 2004 Sara did a tribute to Dolly Parton as part of the Grand Old Opry fundraiser in Morden. She took to the stage at the Concert Hall in Winkler in the fall of 2007 for the Country Legends show where she sang the songs of Tammy Wynette.
In 2008 Sara planned her own Dolly Tribute Show which was held at the Kenmor Theatre in Morden. In 2009 she performed a second Dolly Tribute Concert at the Winkler Concert Hall. Some shows are done with a live band and others to background tracks. Sara replicates Dolly's music, her voice, and even her appearance! "I sing the songs of Dolly Parton because I love her music. She and I both came from a large and a poor family. I have listened to her music since my childhood and feel a connection to her." Audiences love hits like: I Will Always Love You, Coat Of Many Colors and He's Alive. Sara loves to fill audience requests.
