A MESSAGE FROM THE MINISTER

Greetings to all those taking part in Morden’s 2008 Chautauqua Spirit celebrations.

As a 2008 Cultural Capital of Canada, Morden is offering the town’s residents and visitors more cultural activities than ever during its Chautauqua Spirit celebrations. Inspirational and educational, the Chautauqua Spirit events will definitely entertain. And the variety of activities, including festivals, plays, workshops, and competitions, will connect the community and help keep the legacy of Chautauqua alive and well for future generations.

As Minister of Canadian Heritage, Status of Women and Official Languages, I am pleased to support these celebrations and activities, and I congratulate the town of Morden on its designation as a 2008 Cultural Capital of Canada.
