Residents and visitors to Morden will explore the shores of glacial Lake Aggassiz in the final walk featured in the Parkland Pathways brochure.

The booklet of self-guided heritage walks will be available later this month to celebrate Morden’s Cultural Capitals of Canada project “Chautauqua Spirit.”

From the starting point at Lake Minnewasta, just west of Morden, there will be two walking tours to chose from – the Boardwalk and Minnewasta Trail or the Kinsmen Footpath and Minnewasta Golf and Country club.

The booklet highlights significant facts and history about numerous feature points along the walks including the Morden dam, interpretive signage and the golf and country club.

Members of the Morden Historical and Horticultural Societies have researched and written the Parkland Pathways Heritage Walks brochure with hopes that residents and tourists alike will enjoy the sights of Morden this summer and learn some of the town’s history.
