Loreena McKennitt Composition Competition

Young participants will be invited to create compositions in any of several musical genres: e.g. orchestral, choral, folk song. Winners will be chosen by mid-August and their music will be performed at the Chautauqua Celebration in September.

Parkland Rose Photographic Competition

This photographic competition encourages photographers to create images of the Parkland Roses. Winning entries will be acquired for permanent display in the local Art Gallery or elsewhere in the Morden community. The winners will be announced at the Chautauqua Celebrations in September. The twelve best submissions may also be used in a 2009 calendar. Deadline for entries is August 16th, 2008.

Festival of the Arts Competition

The Festival of the Arts will have competitions in strings, piano, vocal and dance. Winners will be asked to perform at the Chautauqua Celebration in September.
