A vital part of developing cultural tourism is connecting natural heritage with the educational curriculum in our province. The CFDC will produce four educational kits targeted at elementary and senior high school students. These kits will tie into the Manitoba school curriculum.

  1. K-3: Dinosaurs
  2. Gr. 4 & 6: Habitats & Diversity of Living Things
  3. Gr. 4 & 6: The Earth’s Crust: Rocks and Minerals
  4. Sr. 4: Evolution

Morden Heritage Education Kits (2)

Date: September 26th – 28th, 2008
Time: Unveiled at Chautauqua Celebration Festival in September
Venue: Morden Recreation Centre

These education kits will encourage participation of schools and students in the Chautauqua Celebration. It will introduce the Chautauquas of the past and describe how they helped to shape Morden’s artistic and cultural heritage. They will also depict the history of the town and its many points of interest ("Things You Should Know About Morden"). They will have a range of activities designed to stimulate student interaction with the arts, culture and heritage of the Morden community.
