Youth Presentation Workshops
Adjudicators at the Morden Festival of Arts selected a number of Festival participants to perform at the Chautauqua Celebration Festival in September 2008. In addition, winners of the Loreena McKennitt Composition Competition were also invited to perform at the festival. All were given the opportunity to attend these Youth Presentation workshops.
To prepare these youth for their performance at the Chautauqua Celebration Festival, a half-day workshop was developed which focused on three aspects of performing.
- Maximizing the use of a PA System - presented by J.P. Lepage, leag guitarist and vocalist of the J.P. Lepage Band.
- Body Language and facial expression - presented by Jeanette Hoeppner, drama coach.
- Staying focused - presented by Wes Hamm - violin teacher.
This workshop took place on August 13th, 2008.
